Wellllll, after many months of longing, praying, asking, seeking, mistaking I finally have a new covering for this time in my life. I went to church this morning, under the unction of the Holy Spirit (cause I didn’t want to get up and be at church for 8 – lol) and there was a settling confirmation of who this man, that i’ve known from a distant for three years, was to me in this season of my life. I so didn’t want let go of my former covering, Pastor Chris, because he was the one that really cultivated everything that God had in me but was lying dormant. Actually, Apostle Weathersby isn’t taking the place of Pastor Chris, he is just the next teacher for this level. You know how when you were in school (elementary) every year by the end of the year you didn’t want a new teacher the next year – you wanted to take your current teacher with you to the next grade (level)? That’s where I was! But God showed me how nobody takes anybody’s place, they are just set forth for a particular time to teach, train and build that which God has placed in us. In order for me to grow I had to let go of all those teachers that I wanted to be over me in this season and realize that they’ve taught, trained and built me as far as they could.
I think that is just awesome because there are people that are attached to me in that same way and I’ve always wondered how and when would the time come to let them go from the nest and let them soar. I now know that I will know because God will tell me and it will be up to me to share with them that it is time for them to soar higher than me (that’s what a teacher does, excels his or her understudies to greater heights than one self). God I thank you for revelation of your word and your ways!!!
This thing is getting good yall!
